Meet David
Anchored in Faith, Family, and Freedom
Journey Home
David Croswell was born and raised on the mainland, graduated from college, and soon after moved to Hawaiʻi and started a software development business with several college friends — a decision that would shape the course of his life, family, faith, and work.
In Hawaiʻi, David met his wife, Mariko, who was born and raised in the islands. Today, they live in Mariko’s family’s generational home and are raising their three children here. As one of their children nears high school graduation and considers future career opportunities both in Hawaiʻi and abroad, David understands personally the concern many local families share: whether the next generation will be able to build a meaningful future here at home.
Faith, Family & Community
David’s life is rooted in faith, family, work, and community. Hawaiʻi is truly home for him and his family, and they are grateful for the blessing of living in such a beautiful place. You will often find the Croswells taking spontaneous walks through their neighborhood, enjoying late-afternoon ocean dives, or sharing sunset dinners together.
David also enjoys photography, hiking, snorkeling, playing board games with family and friends and volunteering within the local robotics community. On Sundays, the Croswell family often serves together at their local church, where David helps with the audio and online ministry — continuing a legacy of service modeled by his father at his church on the mainland.
Civic Responsibility
By entering the political arena, David hopes to set an example for his children and others in the community about the importance of participating in our constitutional republic. He believes every vote matters, every citizen has a role to play, and public service requires people who are willing to step forward when they believe they can serve others. As a husband and father, David believes leadership means being ready and willing to do what is needed for the good of others, even when it requires personal sacrifice.
David is running for State Senate because he believes Hawaiʻi needs practical leadership, stronger accountability, and a renewed commitment to making life here possible for local families. His experience as a husband, father, small business owner, and member of the local business community gives him a grounded perspective on the real pressures families face every day.
